Absortion:
  • The name comes from PYROS = fire and MORPHO = shape, alluding the shape that takes when smelt. It´s found in assembled hexagonals crystals and even in globular shapes.
  • Green to yellow in differents tones. Translucent to transparent.
  • Confusions: It´s very characteristic.
  • Treatments: Unknown.
  • Localities: In España exist a great quality of pyromorphite in Córdoba.
  • Gemologicals uses: Pyromorphite is a material not much known in gemology. It´s a colection gem but it can be used in jewellery, in cab.
