Cobaltian calcite

• The name comes because it´s a Calcite with Cobalt.
• It´s found in cristals like the calcite cristals, even in stalactites and masses.
• It gives diferents pink tones; light pink to strong fuchsia.
• It´s transparent or translucent.
• Confusions: In strong colour not confusions; when is light pink should be confused with the rose quars.
• Treatments: unknown.
• Gemologicals uses: Colection gem. Facet and cab. Jewellery could use the cab stones.
• Localities: Scarce round the world. Possible the cobalt calcite from Peramea, (Solita´s mine) in Lleida, should be the best in quality, and it´s named in lot of mineralogy and gemmology books from all world.
