  • The name comes from the place where was found: Molina de Aragón. It´s present in crystals.(pseudohexagon), aggregates, stalactites. Transparent to translucent. The colour is white in differents colour shades: yellowish, rosy, bluish, greenish etc. The aragonite it´s a constituent part of pearls and nacre.
  • Localities: A lot. Molina de Aragón (Guadalajara), Toral de los Vados (León), Minglanilla (Cuenca), some places in Catalunya.
  • Confusions: With the Calcite.
  • Treatments: Can be dye.
  • Gemologics uses: To decorate. Facet like a colection stone. For jewels in cab.
